The signing wait is how long Wormhole guardians take to sign a transfer from that chain. Transfers from Algorand are signed in under a minute. Chains that settle on Ethereum, such as Arbitrum or Base, wait for Ethereum finality.
Two rules that apply everywhere
- A token can go to Algorand only if it already has a Wormhole-wrapped asset there.
- From Algorand, only Wormhole-wrapped assets can be sent, each back to the chain it came from.
